CLEVELAND " Two Cleveland brothers have pleaded guilty in the fatal beating of a neighbor. They claimed the victim had broken into their house, but prosecutors believe the real motive was a $50 debt owed by the victim.
Twenty-five-year-old John Maruschak (mah-ROO'-shack) was beaten with an aluminum baseball bat last summer. His body was burned and the remains stuffed into garbage bags.
The brothers, 26-year-old Alex Wulff and 19-year-old Aaron Wulff, pleaded guilty Monday in Cleveland.
Alex Wulff admitted burning the body. He pleaded guilty to murder, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. He faces up to 21 years to life in prison.
His brother pleaded guilty to attempted murder and could get 10 years.
Read John Grisham's The Partner sometime--the comic relief at the end of the novel involves the protagonist pleading to abuse of a corpse . . .
So, did they get the $50 back?
@Setanta,
I should think that the only relief to be got from a John Grisham book is that obtained by finishing it.
@Gargamel,
A very appropriate question.
