Imaeyen Ibanga, Manship alumna (2002), associate producer at ABC News in New York City, was the keynote speaker Oct. 3 at the conference of the Louisiana Scholastic Press Association. She also spoke to classes Oct. 4-5. “She is a true example of a successful practitioner of convergence,” said Professional-in-Residence Larry Snipes.
I'm not really sure what that term means. It's a strange turn of phrase. The best guess is that Larry Snipes is trying to describe her as being many-sided, having more than just one talent. But that's a guess, not a definitive answer.

He is a master (talented) of converging (combining /bringing together) state of the art equipment and media presentations.
