see your doctor and get a physical, hopefully you find out your in good shape and good health, that should help alleviate some of your fears

Put your mind at ease by having a thorough physical exam by your doctor and have him/her also evaluate your diet and exercise routines and suggest any needed changes.

@AMOL,
Getting a good medical is a good idea...but you also appear to have developed a real anxiety problem, and may well benefit from seeing a good therapist for the anxiety.

It's quite responsive to treatment, and tends to do well with cognitigve behavioural therapy in the hands of someone who is also am empathic and and caring person. Someone who explicitly includes mindfulness techniques is also appearing to have better results than straight traditional CBT.

@dlowan,
Preventive medicine and physical conditioning are effective ways of alleviating your fear.
Your anxiety (while not unfounded) is a bit unrealistic. You need to handle your anxiety before it turns into panic attacks and then some well meaning physician will start prescribing valium which only dulls your senses and makes you dependent.

If you get on with some good sense exercise and maybe even taking an aspirin every otherday, you can consider a cardiac condition as a maneageable condition even if you are eventually afflicted.

Your friend, more than likely, ws the recipient of a double dose of bad luck.
1His genes were probably a story of a family history replete with "dropping dsead" and heart attacks

2 Ill bet he had some dietary or life style issues.

Worrying about this can interfere with actually enjoying your life.

If your parents have suffered a heart attack and and you are a male and you smoke...chances are yep you will have a heart attack. Heart attacks can occur for various other reasons as well, but put your mind at ease and do what others have told you to do, go get a thorough check up done by your GP.

@AMOL,
There ya go. There are too many people with panic attacks and they can be managed really easily by some cognitave stuff that allows you to overcome the unrealistic fears that get kicked into high gear.
