Well, then, you have been officially a racist -- but I guess that would still apply if speeding on the freeway.

@DontTreadOnMe,
On the highway to Las Vegas, you can speed up to 75 mph -- they want you to get there as fast as possible to lose your shirt and want you to leave as fast as possible because you look terrible without a shirt.

that's why i always take a sandwich board with me. it serves the dual purpose of covering my culo and allowing me to sell advertising space to pick up a little gas money.

but, lw, there's a big payday just waiting there for me. i can feel it. i've felt everytime i've gone there for the last 30 years. Laughing

@DontTreadOnMe,
I used to play the dollar machine like at the Golden Nugget and Diamond Horseshoe, downtown and open to the street (I think they are all now gone). They set those to win more often 'cause the tinkle of the dollars streaming into the metal trough lured people into the room. I think most of those old machines that pay off in real coins are rapidly disappearing for the digital machines.

Cheney, like every politician, is gambling that he's right when he gets on TV as a pundit. POX News, where he naturally appears most often, sets up the questions to get right to the negative Obama administration answers. He simply avoids any shows where the host is going to ask questions too embarrassing for him to fabricate an answer.

i'm not much of a gambler. if i win enough at the track to cover admission, a dog and a couple of cold beers, i consider that winning and had a nice day.

but there was one year when i was in vegas for NAB that i had a freakishly good night at video poker and slots. viva caesar's !!

@DontTreadOnMe,
That's all I ever played for and would not get carried away despite the free drinks. I would almost always come back at least $100.00 richer and paid for the trip. My rule -- big jackpot, only put half of it back in, then stop and enjoy the food and the shows. Now, Vegas has changed and Laughlin is more likely where I would go. Besides, I'd have more fun there by a dam site.

@dyslexia,
It got covered as I remember and the hotels are either remodeled or rebuilt but I haven't actually been back for over twenty years! I was reminiscing. I guess you could enter "Fremont St., Las Vegas" and click on Google images.
