I acquired a wood handled knife from a friend. It is almost 14 1/2" from point to the end of the handle and the blade is about 9". It is really old and has a very old leather sheath that was obviously made for it. It has a couple paper tags on it. One of them is pretty darned old and it claims it to be a fighting knife circa 1958. It also claims it was found during the restoration of Ft. Ticonderoga in NY. Where do I go or who do I find to help me place a value on this and to verify the story it claims?
@aunrkarma,
Sorry...typing error...the tag mentioned below indicates that the knife is circa 1758.
