Respected,

where and when we use like "I do" and "I do swim".
what is the difference between them, any why we use do in the second one.

Please clarify me on this.

Thanks in Advance.

@mcadhu,
Q: Do you swim ? A: I do

Q: Do you swim or not:? A: I do swim

Addition of "swim" adds emphasis and helps distinguish between opposites.

@fresco,
...Note that this "do" is used in Q/A scenarios and is vocally stressed if used before another verb (I do swim)

Yes, it's used for emphasis, or to contradict an apparent misunderstanding:

"Don't you swim?"
-"Oh yes, certainly I do. I swim every morning."

"I don't jog any more, but I do swim once a week"
