I see those are larger packages. My wee package of smoked salmon was $3.28 for 0.4 lb, of which, as I mentioned, I ate about a third for breakfast.

mmmmm smoked salmon

~~~~~~~~~~
I left early to pick up my friend B, so we could take the dogs to the beach for a nice sashay. Packed some extraordinary Golden Delicious apples - best I've seen in years - and carried a mug of Lady Grey Tea. Didn't eat the apples. Got distracted by something in the great outdoors <maybe that cute guy with the undocked dobie and the westie?>
Dropped B off at a bank near my house, dropped off the dogs at home, picked up B and we headed for Little India. After a coupla hours, we both realized we were hungry, so we went in to one of the Indian buffet $7.99 places. Wow!!! Breakfast was more like lunch - perhaps even late lunch - but mmmmmm - veggie pakoras, raita, tomato/cucumber/onion salad, matar paneer, aloo gobi, some kinda spinach/cheese thing, a lentil/cheese curry, some other veggie dish that I couldn't name but it tasted terrific, beef curry, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, mutton curry, naan, pappadam, rice pudding (which was quite odd looking, but tasted great), strawberry sorbet, chai. oooooh, and the tamarind sauce was smoooooth.
So, I had Indian Lunch Buffet for my Thanksgiving breakfast/lunch/most of dinner.
Hey, you got all the right stuff. That sounds good. Authentic. Cilantro really gives it that authentic taste. I'm going to check in on this one.
I'm thinking I'll fry the black beans, a little. Oh, I forgot, I have corn tortillas too. I won't be making potatoes or rice.
Sounds like you need some fajitas or carne asada or citrus marinated grilled chicken
I don't eat meat. But, I always think it could use something else. Maybe fake sausage.
Man, that sounds good...
I am having coffee and deciding on honey granola from a box with added blueberries, a cut 1/2 gala apple, a fistfull of hazelnuts and milk - or, what I really want, some hearthbread with oregano, toasted, and maybe some of that new olive oil.., plus, in a bit, the apple.
My wife and I went to the Country Gourmet for breakfast and split a vegetable omlette with wheat pancakes and toast with coffee. Also had a chance to read about two pages of the newspaper. Wink
