Lazy but goodish breakfast.

Had some tea left last night, so just heated up some water and poured it over. Need to make a proper cuppa soon.

Toasted a raisin cinnamon whole wheat bagel. Put some marble cheddar on top and put it under the grill. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I was lucky at the Bakkerswinkel this morning (OK, afternoon): there was a croissant, a scone and a brownie to go with the pot of tea. Normally at least one of those three will be out, especially in the weekend. Their scones are delicious, with clotted cream and homemade jam.

Coffee as per usual...though only a slurp as I had to be out the door pre 6:00 am to register for a fun run. The run did not start until 7:30 am and I can tell you I was wishing I had eaten something!!
I ran 5 whole kms!!! My first road run since my accident in 2002! It was not easy but I did it and am looking forward to running heaps more!
When I got home from the run I had a very yummy breakky of re heated spaghetti! Nummers. And a homemade biscuit which I try to make healthy by adding wheat germ, bran, flax seed, sunflower seeds and no milk... soy formula instead. They turned out very nice...I am actually surprised there were any leftover from dinner last night!

My wife and I went to the Country Kitchen for an early breakfast. At 3:30 PM, we went to dinner at an acquaintance's home in Milpitas to have a short visit with our local guide from Japan from our April 2004 Buddhist Pilgrimage.

lol George...reheated sghetti!
The run was an emotional one...first one since the accident...it also made me think of my dad. He died a few years back but before he did he gave me a lil gold running shoe pendant (Which he bought for all of his girls at the 100th running of the Boston Marathon)..."Run a marathon one day" And so I am trying to run a marathon and I have a very long way to go.
The reheated sghetti? We didn't have much growing up and oftentimes it was just reheated sghetti on the table...

Breakfast today? Back to the good old coffee Smile

If you come to boston to run a marathon, let me know and I'll try to make it out to cheer for you!

Breakfast was way too many multi-grain pancakes (they was gooood).

There's only one store here that sells Vernors aka nectar of the goddesses, so we make a special trip there every month or so to stock up on it.

Vernors used to be better when it was still made in small batches in Detroit. It would literally clean out your sinuses with its gingery bite. Not anymore.

I had granola with skim milk, tea, and vitamins this AM.

The gnome is long gone, but Vernors is still good. And it still startles the uninitiated.

I had to go to the dentist, so having brushed my teeth before leaving home I didnt eat any breakfast on my way there. By the time I came out it was mid-afternoon and I headed for cafe Latei, but with the anaesthetic still numbing half my mouth i couldnt really eat anything, so I just had tea. In the end I had a piece of chocolate cake tho, theirs is the most delicious.
