Filled my Abuzz mug with Mountain Chai, steamed milk and brown lump sugar, TWICE. Flax seed pita with real cream cheese and smoked turkey. Two two-bite brownies. That early morning dog walk made me hungry!

I had a dream that for some reason I started eating protein bars....more of a nightmare really. Probably just some nice melted cheese on 7-grain.

Thought of you yesterday afternoon, cavfancier. I was on Spadina to pick up some phone cards and sorta fell  into Kensington Market. I went into My Market Bakery and then Cheese Magic. I'm still trying to figure out their secret handshake for raw milk cheese.

My wife and I went to the downtown Sunnyvale Farmer's Market this morning, and shared a egg burrito with coffee - while reading the paper. c.i.

4 egg white omelet with a sprinkle of cheese and teo slices of lean ham or turkey, one slice of reduced carb wheat toast with a thin spread of low sugar strawberry jelly, 4 strips of turkey bacon small oj two cups of coffee with splenda and fat free french vanilla creamer. Same every day.

Most peoples eating habits are shaped like an upside down v, a little in the morning and more as the day goes on. Mine is just like a v. load up wisely in the morning with all the fuel you need , snack on something JUST protein twice, and other main meals get smaller and smaller. That's the ticket. As few carbs as possible except before you workout, then enought to get you through. Protein immediately after working out.

That sounds like a pretty sensible plan, BPBear. I couldn't do the Splenda part, but the rest sounds all right - as long as someone else is making breakfast for me. I rarely allow myself a lot of prep time in the morning.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
10 cups zucchini -- pared, seeded, diced
1 cup green bell pepper -- chopped
1 cup red bell pepper -- chopped
1 cup onion -- chopped
1 cup celery -- chopped
1 cup tomato -- chopped
1 tablespoon salt -- canning
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons mustard seed
1 tablespoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
2 1/2 cups white vinegar
(or cider for sweeter relish)
2 cups water

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil for 15 minutes, stirring
constantly. Pack in steralized pint jars. Leaving .5 inch head
space and tightening the lids. Process in boiling hot water bath for
15 minutes. Let the relish stand for 6 weeks before using.

I have not tried this, but am told it is wonderful. [Diane]

I just took this one example off a search - the relish is usually different and good. This one I found at my BBQ place is really good stuff!
