There is a fungus goldfish can get....long scientific name starting with an "M" I think.....that causes black spots, but also the residual chemicals in a new aquarium or fishtank can leach ammonia or something like that into the water and this also causes black spots.
Step 1: Try cleaning the fish tank and any decorations you have in it thoroughly and refill with clean water.
Step 2: If the spots don't go away in two or three days then ask at the fish store--they'll probably have the medication the fish needs.

@angell,
Since you found A2K, I assume you know about Google
Search, on Google, for "goldfish disease black spots," and you will find many sites that can answer your question and advise you on what steps to take.

I second the recommendation that you ask a good pet store for medication. Take photos and water samples if they can do water testing and have them tell you what to do.
You'd most likely need to head down there anyway to pick up the medication and a good pet store should have knowledgeable employees who can answer this for you.
