Who are the four MOST POWERFUL PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY now?

Barack Obama
Joe Biden
Nancy Pelosi
Hillary Clinton

Why, there's only one white man in the bunch and he doesn't wear a cowboy hat, ride around the ranch in a pickup, hunt quail in a special preserve and I'm pretty sure he's never shot anyone.

Our last administration was chosen because they were the kind of people you'd like to have a beer with. To hang out with the new group....you'd have to go to .....the library or something.

A little trepidation, even fear of the unknown is not unusual or anything to be ashamed of and we shouldn't think any worse of our friends here for it. I call for patience and a spirit of conciliation towards our brethren here convinced that Obama is the end of everything they hold dear.

@Bi-Polar Bear,
Bear, should you include people who vote in the best interests of the country rather than their social ideology and party preference?

The nation needs to understand that we are all in big trouble now that Obama, Biden, Pelosi and Clinton have the power.

@Bi-Polar Bear,

Those issues of the past will pale in comparison to the real trouble and havoc Obama is bringing to this nation.

I never wanted to eat nor drink with the Bushes
( tho, actually, I did with one of their relatives in NYC);
I voted for the Bushes in an effort to fight off loss of personal freedom
for American citizens.

It was my best effort to come as close as possible
to preserve the liberty that we inherited from the Founders,
which I deemed to be very much in peril
from Dukakis, from Gore and from Kerry.

I did not like the Bushes; when Reagan chose Bush,
I said that it was a mistake; I did not change my mind,
but when voting, I am limited to the choices in front of me.
I liked McCain LESS than the Bushes,
with his rape of the First Amendment
( 4 different ways ) in his campaign finance reform.

I wished for guys like Barry Goldwater, Ron Paul and Bob Barr
who admire the liberty of Adam Smith and Ludwig von Mises.

How did that work out for ya?

It seems to me, that, over the last 50 years, the Democratic party has done more to increase personal freedoms and champion individual rights than the Republican party has.

I think your rather obsessive focus on the single issue of gun ownership prevents you from seeing anything else.

I don t approve of the Patriot Act,
but the matter of checking libraries is relatively trivial.
More serious, more sinister, was the matter of secret trials,
tho as I understand it, American citizens r immune from that.

If I thought that the Democrats did what u allege,
then i 'd have supported them. I find your representation
to be antithetical to the facts.

I support laissez faire free enterprize.
Adam Smith n Ludwig von Mises r my boys.

The answer is: RELATIVELY SPEAKING, it worked out well;
not as well as having Goldwater as President, but not as bad
as the Democrats woud have done it and will now do it.

Gun ownership is pivotal, existential on an Individual basis, but it is not everything.

How are government regulations on business a personal freedom issue?

@OmSigDAVID,
Business is being conducted by persons with other people, which make it a collective rights issue, not a personal freedom issue.

I find a non sequitur.
Each contract is individual.

Commerce is a collective act. A million individual transactions, which affect us all. You do not have the right to make my bank insolvent by your fraud.

@H2O MAN,
as did the last one...
but I agree.

When we as a nation vote now, it seems that all we are voting for is the face we want to look at while we are being fucked in the ass and having all of our money being taken by illegal taxes and unnecessary fines..
