Can you look at this map and say Israel does not systemically appropriate land?

@Ionus,
Well if you can't read, you can't read.

Illiterate as well as stupid. I imagine one explains the other.

@Walter Hinteler,
You dont understand much in English...we have had this debate before where you miscomprehend .

I am not quoting bloggers, the others here quoted newspapers that quoted the Times of Israel which did not do a story on it, it was published by a blogger . The photo, as I said before, led the story, not the other way around . In words you may understand, the original was a viral picture, then the story was done by a blogger, and everyone accepted it as true .

Why is that beyond your comprehension ? I can understand why the others here are clueless as to what is going on, but not you...why dont you get it ?

Quote:
a) the 'Times of Israel' is an online newspaper - your quote hasn't been published there,
That's exactly where it is...look harder..it is at the top of the story . It is a disclaimer about the story .

Quote:
b) 'The Times of Israel' hosts an open blog platform for any writer who applies to become a blogger on the site. That's were your "source" was published online.
No, that is the source for the other newspapers quoted by others here . You understand very little but at least you havent tried to wiggle free like the fools here .

Your two points were exactly wrong . I expect a retraction .

Quote:

Perhaps you are not aware of how blogs exaggerate and make "accidental errors" in their reporting?
THAT is exactly MY point . The source for the others here is a blog . God this is frustrating .

Kind of the way Ausies treat the native black people on its continent.
That is how they were treated here by the British, but we are giving them back their land and they get a very sizable pension each . Can you say the same ?

@bobsal u1553115,
Do you think you can post a ref that has nothing in it of value and then claim

You are just a struggling fool out of their depth . Show a quote from your broad ref as to where it agrees with you ...can you do that or will you have some excuse as to how it is my fault you are wrong ? What an arsehole .

Could you be any more patronizing, rude and just plain asshole-ish to one of the nicest people on a2k? You really really work hard at being a jerk and you've been quite successful at cultivating it.

@bobsal u1553115,
It was an attack on your stupidity for posting a Irish Newspaper on a Palestinian matter that was based on a viral photo that generated a blogger story . That was your reference .

If Walt wants to defend that level of stupidity, then it is on his head . There are no free lunches here . You could help him if you really wanted to by admitting your reference sucks big time and you are just plain stupid and sloppy in your quoting .

You put a lot of effort into bluff and ignorance but you are no good at at . It may even be worse than your laughable attempts at referencing .

You certainly can have doubts about the story - like this Aussie (who lives in Israel) - writes:
Quote:
In other words, based on this account, this was not a simple case of palestinians protecting an Israeli policewoman from rock-throwing “settlers” as those disseminating the photo have claimed. For a start, the rocks were being thrown by palestinians. Furthermore, it seems the two palestinians starting escorting the policewoman after they felt they were about to be shot.
In other words, it sounds like this was not as much an altruistic gesture as one of self-preservation.
Is it possible the palestinians would have protected the policewoman even if they didn’t feel they were in danger from the soldiers? I honestly do not know. What I do know is this photo is not showing exactly what many are claiming it shows.

You do realise it was those Palestinian terrorists who were trying to stone a woman to death...dont you ?
THAT is what I posted that started all this fuss . I was right, it was Palestinians throwing stones at an Israeli Police Officer .

@Walter Hinteler,
Thank you Walt, you can see the disclaimer clearly where you pointed it out, and you have also shown the other side of the story . I apologise for being harsh, but sometimes it feels like a circus here and these clowns are relying on numbers to revisit old scores . Sometimes a polite capable poster such as yourself gets caught in the area fire because of my anger at others .

Yes. And you quoted from The Times of Israel's blog.

Both sited look similar to someone, who doesn't pay attention to facts and details, I admit

@Robert Gentel,
Take a look at a map of the USA. Now ask an Indian this same question.

All country's are the result of land grabs, force of arms, and winning battles over where lines are drawn on maps. Winner gets the land, losers can shut up.

Except in 1948 the UN allowed "a homeland for the Jews in Palestine".

Not OF Palestine.

@McTag,
Israel is partially the result of western antisemitism. The west did not want Jewish refugees so they were settled somewhere the indigenous population had no power. Palestine.

Israel's Supreme Court is suspending the detention of a Palestinian hunger striker who has suffered brain damage after 65 days without food.

Mohammed Allan, a lawyer and member of the militant group Islamic Jihad, began refusing food in June in protest at his indefinite administrative detention.

Israel had offered to release him in early November in return for him ending his hunger strike.

Doctors say Mr Allan is in a serious condition in hospital in Ashkelon.

"Due to the petitioner's medical condition he will remain in intensive care," the court ruling said.

"This means that for now, owing to the hunger striker's medical condition, the administrative detention order is no longer operative."

Mr Allan began the hunger strike on 16 June in protest against his incarceration since November 2014 under what Israel calls administrative detention.

The system allows a military court to order suspects to be detained indefinitely, subject to renewal every six months by the court, without charge or trial.

He lost consciousness and was placed on a respirator on Friday after his lungs stopped working and he had seizures. He was also given salts and minerals intravenously.

There are fears that violence in the Israeli-occupied West Bank might escalate if Mr Allan dies.

Partly true I suppose, but a minor factor I would suggest. Consider the strength of the Zionist movement among Jews. They didn't select Palestine for those reasons.
