France24 reporter Gallagher Fenwick has filed a video report of a rocket launcher just outside his hotel, right next to a residential apartment building in Gaza. During a live report on a previous evening he was unaware the launcher was right behind him, causing him to duck out of the way when a rocket was fired. His report during the day showed closeup views of the launch site, including Palestinian children playing around the launch tube. He also pointed out a large UN building, flying the UN flag, about 100 meters away.

How is it then that the UN claims they are unaware of any launchers in residential neighborhoods?

And how is it that no reporters from the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS, just to cite a few, have seen a single one of the more than 3000 rockets that were launched from Gaza towards Israel, much less photographed or filmed them?

London's Tricycle Theatre is refusing to host this year's UK Jewish Film Festival (UKJFF) because the event is partly funded by the Israeli Embassy.

The theatre has hosted the awards for the last eight years, but this year told executive director Judy Ironside that due to the situation in Gaza, hosting an event funded by the Israeli government would be unacceptable.

The Israeli show which was forced to stop its show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe has now been permanently cancelled.

The City, by Incubator Theatre, has failed to find an alternative venue and will now not be run at all at the Fringe this year.

It was due to be staged by the theatre group, who receive funding from the Israeli government, at the Cow Barn in Underbelly in Bristo Square but the protests, which disrupted other venues, led to its cancellation.


A statement from Underbelly said: "Underbelly and Incubator Theatre have worked very hard to find an alternative venue for The City.

"We are very disappointed to announce that unfortunately we have been unable to find a space that is viable for the show and for the security of the audience.

"A private performance for friends took place today but otherwise all performances at Underbelly of the show are now cancelled."

More than 1,460 Palestinians, mostly civilians, including many children, have died in the latest conflict in Gaza, as well as 63 Israelis, mostly soldiers.

UK ministers are discussing whether to suspend arms export licences to Israel if the truce in Gaza ends.

Israel has offered to extend a three-day ceasefire in Gaza which began on Tuesday after nearly a month of conflict, Israeli officials say.

But there has so far been no agreement from the militant Hamas movement, which controls Gaza, as indirect talks continue in Cairo.
