@Mame,
I know Mame, I truly appreciate what you say. You're not lecturing, or at least I'm not taking it that way.

@shewolfnm,
hey, when you said you called me the other day and left a message, was it at home or work?

I didn't get a message on either.

Oh Chai... so sorry you are having to watch this happen to MrT. Thinking of you and hoping that Wally is settled tonite and you can get him to the doc in the morning.

I'm with Mame...well, virtually... 911 if anything happens. Do take care of yourself too. Call that SheWoman - she'd be good Chicken Soup for the Soul.

@chai2,
Hey there Mrs2. I'm sorry to hear this hasn't been getting better. I am really glad you've had your neighbour come by as a witness. Sometimes the patient needs to know that someone who he thinks couldn't have an ulterior motive (how love can be an ulterior motive, I don't know, but I know the conversation) saw them in a weird state - and thought it was weird/bad/unusual.

I'm also glad you've just generally got a good neighbour.

AND I know you're a private kinda lady - but let the WolfMama help you out. It's nice being able to help a friend.

I'm going to hope that no new news is good news until I hear otherwise. Hoping that the rest of yesterday was uneventful and that you're preparing for this morning's dr's appt, chai.

Went to doctor, who is referring him to a neurologist.

He had some bloodwork done, so now we've got a next step.

I'm glad.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!

I AM SOOO ******* PISSED OFF RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

ok, ok, compose yourself chai.

NOOOOOOO!!!!! I WANT TO KILL THAT STUPID DOCTOR OF HIS!!!!!

Jesus H. Christ.

Last week I got Wally in to see his idiot doctor, unfortunately the one he likes.

I told Wally before hand not to try to make out like I'm just being hysterical and all that, and he agreed, and he does know now there must be something wrong.

Anyway, I told Dr. Asshole all that had been going on, and as usual I didn't feel he was really feeling the importantance. Finally I told him just that, that I didn't get that he was taking me seriously.

He said "Oh no, I am....blah blah blah" So, I figured maybe it's just how he is, like he's just not demonstrative....or he's autistic.

So he said "I'll get you a referral to see a neurologist. If their office doesn't contact you by the middle of next week (today), get back to me.

Next week! Doctor, what am I supposed to do when all of a sudden he can walk or talk, and puts himself and others in danger?

him; well, if the episodes don't last more than an hour, just watch him.

****.

So I watch him. He mostly did good...I found out when he hadn't eaten for a few hours, it helped him when I put food in front of him and said "Eat"....so, even though his blood sugar is normal when they check it, it might be partly low blood sugar.

I'm thinking this is a combo platter of a few things.

Today I hook up with the people who I thought would make me an appt to see the neurologist....very nice people, they really helped me.

no....the ******* stupid doctor had just set up and EEG for him! No neurologist!

I lost it and started crying, explaining everything. they said he DIDN'T NEED A REFFERAL to see a neurologist, and didn't know why the idiot didn't tell us that.....I'll take part of the blame, I just checked my insurance and saw that bit about the referal. But, in all fairness, how often would I be thinking of seeing a specialist?

Anyway, a few paragraphs up, where I said "****", someone from the neurologists office called back, and we have an appt set up for 9:00am.

I want him to have tests. I want him to have as many tests as needed to find out what is wrong, and in as expediant a manner as possible.

Not this bullshit of one test....it's negative....wait until next time.....next text.....it's negative.....

I am emotionally drained right now. Even though I got the appt and am greatful for that, finding out we didn't have to wait and waste time just sent me over the edge.

I know a neurologist will take me seriously. He'll know that Wally can't give an accurate account of what happens, because he doesn't know it's happening past a certain point.

**** me.

@chai2,
Oh Chai...so sorry - Can't imagine how frustrated you are - but I'm so glad Wally is going to see the neurologist. I feel sure he will be able to dx what is going on and get Wally well....

Deep breath. On to the next thing... Wink

ugh, sucks to be at mercy of so called professionals...of course, they are probably more often good than bad, but if you have a bad luck they can turn your life into a much bigger mess then it needs to be.

hope the neurologist will shed much light into what's wrong and that it will bring you some peace and wally some mending soon!
