CW-II: Several simple things which could start it

Try to picture it... Barack Oinkbama walks up to yours truly and says

Quote:
Snake ol buddy, George Soros and the CFR have offered me one hundred trillion US dollars if I can implement the next phase of their plan for world dominion by starting a second American civil war (CW-II), and I could use the cash; what would you in your reptilian wisdom recommend I do?

Assuming I wanted to provide an honest answer, I'd reply "Well, Oinky, there are at least four or five things I could think of offhand..."

1. Try to steal the last two or three elections needed for a so-called filibuster-proof majority in the U.S. senate. Oh.... wait a minute:

http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/11/the_soros_connection_in_the_mi.html

2. Try to investigate, persecute, or prosecute members of the Bush administration for political "crimes". There's been no shortage of talk about this one in the news. It may turn into a question of whether or not Obama can resist the pressure:

http://washingtonindependent.com/18725/pressure-mounts-to-investigate-bush-officials

It's an unwritten part of the system that outgoing administrations are immune from this kind of happy horseshit and indeed it's not easily possible to understand how the system could work at all were that not the case, for obvious reasons.

3. Start talking about creating a national acorn militia of some sort with funding equal to that of the U.S. military. Oh, wait a minute:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9LwUbFy--A

4. Try to eliminate conservative talk radio, i.e. the so-called "fairness doctrine(TM)" and/or bring the entire internet under some sort of a democrat/new-age system of controls.

5. Try to create 12,000,000 instant new democrat "citizens" by granting citizenship to all present illegal immigrants en masse and thus instantaneously reduce pubbies to third party status at least in theory. How seriously anybody might be contemplating this one is unclear.

The good news is that the only one of these items which Obama might have any personal ego investment in at all would be item 3 which is almost certainly just hot air. At least you'd hope....

I don't see good or even bad as real possibilities for an Obama presidency; the choices are going to be really, really bad (ugly), and catastrophic, and I'm hoping that fear of going into history books as the guy who started and lost CW-II might serve as some sort of a motivator. I'm hoping for ugly.

McCainers???

That (having our candidates chosen for us by the wrong people) is another basic problem in the picture... If nothing else, pubbies are probably going to have to dump the primary system and go back to the smoke-filled rooms. It (the primary system) clearly doesn't work.

You spelled Snake Oil wrong. You forgot the "i" between the "o" and the "l".

Nancy P.D.A. Pelosi, 60th Speaker of the House and second in the line of presidential succession behind Vice President Joe Biden, made it clear in an exclusive interview with Stoos Views today that heads will roll now that the new administration has taken over Washington. But, at least some of them will belong to Democrats. Heeding President Obama’s Inaugural Address, in which he pledged an end to partisanship, she told Stoos Views that, while she is eager to prosecute former President George Bush and former Vice President Dick Cheney for “war crimes,” her witch-hunt will at least be non-partisan.

“Since I am the Speaker of the House, I have the power to order an investigation with a view toward exploring whether or not the former President and Vice President may have, somehow, some way, directly, or indirectly, possibly, done something for which they can be prosecuted. Since that little Texas pipsqueak and Darth Vader are gone, I do not have to pretend to be nice to them any longer.” When asked if this was the most judicious use of the Congress’ time, she replied: “Hey, I think our highest and best calling at this moment in history is to conduct hearings into this matter, spend tens of millions of dollars, consume countless hours of Congressional time, and risk dividing the country so badly that we may not heal, so we might learn whether or not there is some way to drag our former officials through the mud and send them to jail...
