They are simply reaping the succulent rewards of a process which they have had little or nothing to do with, and which they have probably resisted, and still are.
It is the process by which sex has become a less significant factor in human life than it often is other places and has been at other times. The idea is to arrange things so that when they are washed up on the beach by the wave they come up smiling.
The authorities no longer consider what we do to be too much importance.
I was watching the European Figure Skating championships yesterday Rex when I was suddenly struck by how homophobic it all was. After all, assuming marriage to have any importance, which homosexuals must do, if it is permissable to have same sex couples getting married it should be permissable for them to enter such competitions.
