His concession speech was a dignified call for unity.
Im amazed at the rapidity at which all the results have occured. Im so used to the weeks of waiting from the 2000 election and the ALl nighter in2004.
So, I will now emit a whoooopeeee, also.
Tears are streaming down my face.
I remember far too well the bigotry, hatred and sick things said about blacks in my childhood. My own parents were among the worst offenders.
I hoped, even prayed, in my own way, that this would happen, but I never believed an African American would win the presidency in my lifetime.
Obama won with dignity and honor and without stooping to dirty, sleazy smears.
This is the first time I have been proud of my country in many, many years.
He represents the very best of America.
Best concession speech I’ve ever heard… very classy.
Soz, O'Bill, Buttrfly....
I CAN'T STAND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
C'mere, I'll pinch you on the hiney to prove to you that you are not dreaming.
You've been solid through this whole schmiel.
Dang girl!! Did you call it, or WHAT?!?!?!?!!!!!
Well as Senator McCain said with eloquence and class, the people have spoken.
I would call on those on the right side of the aisle to join with me in giving Senator Obama all benefit of the doubt and all possible encouragement at this point in high hope that he will be the leader his electorate believes him to be. Speaking for those who opposed him, I hope he proves each and every one of us wrong. On principle, we owe him a chance to do so at this point.
Congratulations Democrats. It has been a long haul, but it does appear to be decided with no questions of any major significance re the winner remaining at this point.
Butrfly!!! Not in front of my wife!! Oh, heck with it! Pinch backatcha!!!!!
You were so strong through this... deeply heartfelt congratulations.
It does indeed appear so. Thanks for making an effort to be gracious about it.
Thank you, Fox. Your candidate made a fantastic concession speech and went out with class.
Thanks Foxfyre. Your guy did good.
I also hope Obama proves you wrong.
He's got a tough task ahead.
Congratulations, America. You done right.
And thank you. Thank you, America.
As was said by Mr Churchill I believe.
"The AMericans , after exhausting all other possibilities , will do what is right.
