The group continued to beat Young until police responded to a neighbor's 911 call. Young suffered severe brain injuries and was declared dead Tuesday, Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital spokesman Mark McLaughlin said.

Four women have been charged with murder for the stabbing death of a man on the South Side early Sunday.
The women and man were playing cards in one of the women's homes when an argument broke out.
The women, identified as Tiffany Cox, 25, of the 8200 block of South Drexel Avenue; Carmelita Hall, 25, of the 8100 block of South Drexel; Rosalind Ball, 23, of the 1000 block of East 79th Street; and Miesha Nelson, 25, of the 7900 block of South Wabash Avenue, became upset with Morris Wilson, the 30-year-old victim, after he broke one of their cigarettes.
The women ordered Wilson out, according to Cook County Assistant State's Atty. LuAnn Snow. As he left, Wilson threw a beer bottle at the front door, one of the women told police.
The four, feeling "disrespected" by Wilson, set out to find him. When they did, in the courtyard of a nearby building, the four allegedly beat and stomped on him. One of the women pulled out a knife and stabbed Wilson repeatedly. When she was done, she handed to weapon to another woman, who did the same.
About 2 a.m., officers responded to a call of women chasing a man with knives. Blood spots were found on snow and pavement outside a South Side home and led police to the body of a man who had been stabbed to death, News Affairs said.
Wilson, 30, of 510 E. 80th St., was pronounced dead at the scene, the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said. An autopsy performed Sunday determined he died of multiple stab and incised wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.
Cox, Hall, Ball and Nelson were arrested at the scene charged with one count each of first degree murder for the stabbing, according to police News Affairs.

BAYTOWN, Texas -
Five teenagers suspected of using a pistol and a barbecue grill lid to beat a Baytown teen to death remain jailed on murder charges.
Baytown police say the five killed 18-year-old Kevin Jerome Powell of Baytown because they believed he had vandalized one of their cars.
A judge in Houston set bail at $100,000 for each of the teens -- four of whom are high school students.
Jailed are four La Porte residents -- 18-year-old Marcus Jason, 19-year-old Joshua Rider, 17-year-old Joshua Ashford and 18-year-old Charles Merritt. Also jailed is 17-year-old Cedric Fears of Baytown. All five were arrested on Monday.
Authorities say the five attacked Powell early Monday because they thought he broke the window of Ashford's 1995 Buick Roadmaster. But investigators found no evidence implicating Powell in the vandalism.
