Here's the link - which I got via Archnewsnow.com, if anyone else is interested in a lot of land use news ---
Urban policies of candidates

I've just started again to look at the information I routinely get by email updates on land use issues, architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, on and on...

and the first thing I see after about a year of not really paying attention to these kind of updates, is an article that speaks to the stated policies of McCain and Obama regarding what I think of as "greater metropolitan areas", that is, city plus suburbs.

This is interesting to me, and I haven't seen these issues addressed elsewhere - but as I said, I haven't been entirely paying attention to the urban design scene lately.

@ossobuco,
You've recently resumed reviewing your email updates on land use, architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design after a year of not paying much attention. One of the first articles you came across discusses the policies of McCain and Obama regarding "greater metropolitan areas," which includes both cities and suburbs. This topic is particularly interesting to you because it's not commonly addressed, especially since you haven't been following urban design discussions closely lately.

Could be. Can't help but wonder what the AI was asked for!
