Anybody catch this? Obama has no sense of humor or humorous timing. Once you get him away from pure, teleprompted oratory, he stinks.
@cjhsa,
McCain had them r0lling in the aisles in laughter. I thought Hillary was going to bust a leg vein or something.
I thought they were both pretty funny.
@cjhsa,
What are you talking about Cjhsa, I just watched on the Obama thread and he was funny and gracious as ever. They both were good.
@revel,
Obama has no comedic timing whatsoever. When he's not reading from a teleprompter, he stinks. McCain might have well as been Don Rickles up there. He had the audience in stitches.
@cjhsa,
Hey, whoever the underendowed tagger is, you're momma is so loose I park my car in her at night.
I thought Obama was much less funny and seemed a lot more awkward in the clips I saw. McCain seemed to get more laughs out of the crowd.
When Obama did the superman bit it was so bad I was cringing for him.
John McCain is a genuinely funny guy (as he has demonstrated on Letterman and the Daily Show), and he did a great job at the Al Smith dinner. He also had better lines, which only proves that he needs to replace his speech writers with his gag writers. Obama's delivery was OK -- not great, just OK. His jokes, however, just weren't as good as McCain's. His line about "my worst fault is that I'm too awesome" was, however, pretty good.
