@BumbleBeeBoogie,

Fantastic cad example-- Cad-dom as only the Greeks can muster-- infidelity leads to slaughter.

I'd say he is a cad in an asexual way. Although, he comes around in the end, do Cads transform into better people? Maybe they can, but we never forget their former selves.

You are so correct. I looked him up in Wikipedia and there's a picture of him standing there with a sword, a curly-cue mustache and a swooning adoring woman grasping his legs.

Huh? I looked this up and only found the actual bird-- I didn't look that hard, can you explain?

Humbert Humbert"I completely forgot about him. You are so correct.

Gogol, again. Nozdryov is definitely a cad, but a cruel one. Yep, Captain Grimes (the reoccurring gay man) although Waugh is so freakin' ornate. Nonetheless, he qualifies.

@dyslexia,
Yeah, Eddie is a cad.

I was going to say-- even though there were no women involved, but he did snooker Mrs. Cleaver a number of times.

I think we've all known an Eddie Haskell at one point in our lives.

Shall we say that Fonzie Jnr, Fonzie Jnr and Fonzie Jnrette never did care much for the song 'Happy Days'......

@Cliff Hanger,
Blue Duck was a renegade Mescalero in the "Lonesome DOve" epic by McMurtry. He was heartless , cruel, and a thief. All in all, he had some unresolved issues.

But see my post above, farmer. A sadistic villain isn't just a cad. Was Hitler a cad?

@Gargamel,
Does a cad change his ways or is a cad a cad forever?
And, can a woman be a cad? A cadeen? Or a cad-ette?

I think we supposed to stick to fictional characters. However for the lady version I understand that Becky Sharp from Vanity Fair is top of the class:
Quote:
a woman whose take on the society that has shunned her is too deeply cynical to allow for trust or love, who is attractive for her boldness yet repugnant for the way in which she uses people without conscience

Thanks for the explanation. I think I'll use that phrase the next time I get in the doghouse with my woman-- "All in all, I have some unresolved issues."
