There's a front-page report on what state workers are walking away with huge amounts from accrued vacation and overtime benefits. One doctor who worked in the prison system got over $815,000 after working ten years. That is obscene at its worst. The state needs to cut all those benefits before they talk about increasing taxes. They also need to cut state personnel that are not needed; they have never learned to cut staff, and it's about time they started - today.
