@gungasnake,
gunga, I was surprised to see "you" as the one posting this, but if you've been reading my posts on this topic, you know that I'm against this "bailout." They changed the name, but a rose is still a rose with thorns.

I wrote to Senator Feinstein to say "no."

@cicerone imposter,
The "Market" is slowly recovering because a bailout is in the works.

@Miller,
That's because most people are ignorant of the short and long term future of ours' and the worlds' economy.

@cicerone imposter,
The best and brightest people I talk to are all against any sort of a bailout here.

Why am I not surprised that the Libertarians at Cato are against this.
What plan do they have that would restore liquidity and credit? Anybody can be a critic.

@farmerman,
The emphasis that congress is pushing to feed $700 billion into the finance industry to invest in mortgage instruments is the wrong move, but they should make cash available to small businesses immediately, because they are the foundation of our economy.

The conservatives are missing their opportunity to have Palin lead their party; she has the support of their party. Bush and McCain are both "dead" men walking.

@rabel22,
What I heard on TV today is that Palin still enjoys very high popularity with the conservatives - something like over 2/3ds. If she becomes president, the conservative support will be 100%. It doesn't matter that she has no national or international experience; she wears lipstick.

@gungasnake,
You didn't ask me. My nana says I'm smart.

I was for it. IF it didn't happen, there was a strong possibility more major banks would shut down...not good, since the country runs on credit...but nobody knows how negative this thing can turn out either.

Look on the bright side...if you're smart, an economic downturn this bad can be a great opportunity to build wealth for the future...

One of the polls show her favorable rating down to 51% - and dropping.

that was yesterday , but today ...

DOW JONES : Net Change: -348.220 % Change: -3.22%

the world market seems to be shaking and real recovery may be a year or two off !
perhaps some "debts" need to be paid off first ???
