My grandmother was a sweet hearted angel originally from Abruzzi Italy. When I was a toddler (probably 2 or 3) she used to call me a term of endearment that she used throughout even my adolescent years. I am not sure how to spell the word in question, but it goes something like this: BELL EET SA di nonna. I spelled it how it sounds. the B word is where I am stuck. I tried every free translator and no luck. I was told by family members that it was just "slang" which roughly translated meant I was the apple of her eye, her pride and joy. I am making some home made wine from her family recipe and would love to use a photo of her and I with that caption. I appreciate any help you can offer.

We won't email you, we'll try to answer here. We have a few italian speakers.
I'm not one of them, though I've studied it.
I'll see what I can find on it though.
My first guess is 'bellezza di nonna' but I'll check around.
I'm going to say something like "grandma's little beauty". If it was bellizza di nonna, that would be close.
My Italian is very rudimentary so I maybe someone else will come along.

@ossobuco,
thanks for the educated guess. I was thinking it was something along these lines but the spelling was the main issue. Several people replied to my post and the consensus seems to be bellizza.
