@dlowan,
Ooooo, I'm sure. That Soz is a real steam roller, isn't she?

@Tai Chi,
Tai Chi, for pity's sake, don't keep us guessing. I've a pretty good idea that the place is called The Flying Star. Everything there is good.

@gustavratzenhofer,
Gus, friends are always amazed that I am the part-time stoner, not Dys.

How about sending along some capybara soup? I hear it's even better that chicken soup for whatever ails you.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,

@wandeljw,
Wandeljw, I'm perfectly healthy now, so all the healing energy can concentrate on Dys.

Thanks for thinking of us.

@Eva,
LOL. Bob is as intimidated by the cat as Sally dog. Not going to happen.

We went to the grocery store a couple of days ago and it looks like we will have to make another run tomorrow.

You know how good it feels to see your family eating? Well, it goes a hundred times that good feeling to see Bob eat.

@realjohnboy,
RJB, you just hit the nail on the head. It is unbelievable how little there is in grocery stores for people that want to gain weight! Bob likes yogurt, but most of it is diet. I found a brand, Brown Cow, that has fat in it and tastes good.

He also fixes himself bacon and eggs almost every morning. I hope this continues after the prednisone is removed from his treatment.

@LionTamerX,
OH NOOOO. The unfairness of it all.

The problem with the Porsche is that I can barely touch the gas pedal. It's fine on the highway, but not in town, trying to use the clutch while steering around corners. The damn cars are meant for models with long legs, not short nuns with stubby little legs! Sigh...

Ah so that's why Dys has been so scarce here! I was wondering why that was. Anyway, good to see a few posts from him again today. It must be all that food! Good!
How are you, Diane? Your health, I mean. You sound so very happy with Dys's appetite improvement today! Very Happy

@msolga,
Msolga, I am very healthy and plan to stay that way. It is extremely important to only have one sick person in the house at any time and it is far easier on everyone that I remain healthy. LOL

Easy quick homemade open faced enchiladas:
In separate containers or on separate plates put shredded cheese (sharp cheddar is best) - chopped onion - shredded lettuce - chopped tomato.

Brown 1 lb hamburger, drain, and mix with a small can of good enchilada sauce and a large can of Wolf Brand chile. Heat.

Using tongs, dip corn torilla in hot canola oil until they puff - place on plate and top with a small ladle of hamburger/chile mixture - add another tortilla - more mixture - another tortilla - etc. until you have three or four layers of tortillas. Top with more hamburger/chile and slather on lots of lettuce, tomato, onion, and top with cheese. Enjoy garnished with tortilla chips.

A BUNCH of great looking and great tasting calories - about 20 minutes or so prep time. Smile

I was a little baffled by the title of this thread, but I understand that it better to know the problem than not know.

I have an extra 10lbs Dys is welcome to have. I will try my best to pack it up and mail it over. In the meantime, Dys should eat an extra slice of pizza and big piece of pie for me. Milkshakes make a nice chaser.

@Green Witch,
It's hard to believe, but I've lost ten pounds just worrying about Dys. Now that he's getting better, I hope I don't gain them back.

So glad to hear The Man is feeling better.

We're hunkering down for Ike here in Houston. May leave for Austin tomorrow if the power goes out tonight. Not too concerned. Not close to any high water areas, not in any evac zone, 50 miles inland, yadda yadda. Only concerned about wind, and projected models indicate top around 80 mph. May lose a window (we're on the fifth floor, facing south and east).

Will update in this thread after he blows through (unless there's an Ike one I did not see, and then I'll post there).
