This sign held up at the RNC during McCain's speech is the best political sign I've seen (beats "John 3:16" and ilk).

@Robert Gentel,
You mean like we didnt win when we occupied Japan or Germany?
We turned both of those countries into thriving democracies, with very good economies.

If thats a loss, we need to lose like that more often.

Obviously, the idiot at the convention does not know the meaning of occupation.

We are policing Iraq, not occupying it.

@nimh,
The definition of victory in Iraq is when we can stop being police, I guess.

@parados,
You do not know the meaning of it either I see.

"Specifically "Laws and Customs of War on Land" (Hague IV); October 18, 1907: "Section III Military Authority over the territory of the hostile State."[1] The first two articles of that section state:

Art. 42.
Territory is considered occupied when it is actually placed under the authority of the hostile army.
The occupation extends only to the territory where such authority has been established and can be exercised.

Art. 43.
The authority of the legitimate power having in fact passed into the hands of the occupant, the latter shall take all the measures in his power to restore, and ensure, as far as possible, public order and safety, while respecting, unless absolutely prevented, the laws in force in the country. "

Why are you so gullible?
