I solved this same thing two days ago but forget how.

I have a mac.

I want to access my back button.

I know it's easy but I don't remember how. Something to do with configuring

but, never mind, I did all that, worked for a bit, and it still disappears.

So, what do I need to do to not have the back button disappear?

@ossobuco,
and furthermore I'm irritated. I ask a simple question, twice, about you tube and only Jespah, bless her heart, answers. I take it as too stupid to be answered, but I was serious.

How many times have I answered questions here on a2k? Apparently none by whatever counter that is in the profile thing. Huh.. ******* zero? May the bird of paradise..

Grumble city.

Ok, now then, does anyone know a short cut for me to get my back button back?

@ossobuco,
Sorry Osso. I usually don't respond to question threads when I don't have a clue or an opinion. In your case I have never ever used a Mac don't know a darn thing about them. Sorry.

What do you mean exactly when you say "access your back button". Do you mean your browser window's back button?

Because you mentioned it on the other thread I know you are using safari, but just telling us that it's a mac computer doesn't tell us what browser you want the back button (assuming once again it's that back button you are talking about ) options for.

In any case, this should work depending on your version of Safari (works on my version):

View > Customize Toolbar

Then just drag whatever buttons you want to the toolbar, you can also drag a "default set" that will restore all the default buttons.

@ossobuco,
Hi, eoe. The primary back button in my browser line, uh, such a duh on my end, Safari. I'm tired of it disappearing and my chasing it. So, I'm having a tharn moment, writ large.

@Robert Gentel,
That smells right. I'll do it, and check back here.

I will try to memorize this. Or, at worst, save this thread. Thanks, she grumps.

Memorizes the word VIEW.

@ossobuco,
U know, rather than MEMORIZE,
I open up another window with the actual duplicate information in it,
so that I can turn to it to make sure that my memory is accurate.

@ossobuco,
Don't memorize, explore! There are only 7 menu items to look under. I had no idea where it was and just opened safari and looked.
