Hello to yall on a cold and wet day in central Virginia. It was sleeting a bit when I woke up. Now it is just drizzle. I'll be sending it up to yall in NE and beyond. I saw on the A2K weather thread that Ehbeth may be seeing some weather-action.

Thanks for getting picks in. We are still missing George.
There are 6, I say 6, games this week in which the 19 of us are unanaminous. 2 of those games were on Thursday and we were all correct in picking TN and Dallas.
We also totally agree about MN over SL, IN vs CL, BA against CI and the NYJ battling Denver.
Only Jespah has SF besting Buffalo and Imur and Mysteryman take the Skins over the NYG.
The contests where we are most divided are Carolina (10 of us) facing GB (9) and MN (11) fighting CH (8).

Ragman, Region, Foxfyre and Ehbeth disagree from the majority in only 1 game. Foxfyre gets a nod for being the only one of them to have correctly picked Philly Thursday night. Wandeljw strays on 2 games followed by the rest of us between 3 and 5. Mysteryman, though? He is out of step with 8 of us.

@Region Philbis,
Sloppy wording perhaps on my part. Fox disagrees with the majority on just 1 game. SD vs AT. Region disagrees on just one game, also. But it is on a game that is already over. He had AZ. Jespah disagrees on 4 games. I was talking about the folks who only disagree on 1 game.

@realjohnboy,
But that matters not a wit. 10 games down here in real time.
Jespah scores a coup by being the only player choosing SF over BU. She mis-fired, though, on NO vs TB.
Through the early games, Jespah and Foxfyre are 9-1. A bunch of folks at 8-2. 3 folks with 4 miscues..

@realjohnboy,
Well as a notably mediocre to poor picker, I am basking at being in the lead however briefly it should last.

Meanwhile except for playing the wrong quarterback, the wrong kicker, and the wrong defense and leaving a 37-pt wide receiver sitting on the bench this week, my fantasy football team is doing just great. Rolling Eyes

@Foxfyre,
I haven't looked at mine yet. Laggards, all. Ok, well, much of the time.

@ossobuco,
Romo was sure no laggard today. You do need to sort of motivate your guys playing right now though.

@Rockhead,
Yup, after a great start I'm going 0 for 4 for the late games. If by some miracle my fantasy team pulls it out of the fire this week, it will only be because Cassel's gater ade went flat or something. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn today or hold onto the football.

@Foxfyre,
Some of them do spectacular plays once in a while. (mumbles)

The late games hurt us badly. But the pain was pretty equally shared. I have the Cowdoc's with 4 miscues so far each. They have different picks in each of the remaining games. One of them will probably win, but there are a bunch of folks with 5 wrong. This could be interesting.

The Steelers have, since the 60s, been my favorite team. I am delighted that they beat the Pats today.

@edgarblythe,
No matter what, I don't feel bad that I switched back (towards a missed pick) on the Pats. They still are my boys. it wasn't a bad risk...just didn't pan out.

Next week the picks will be hard not because the matchups are all that good - actually they're pretty mediocre. The only really great match-up is Dallas at Pittsburgh. This should be a barn-burner. Pitts has to have the toughest schedule the last half of the season.

@Ragman,
dropitis on both sides -- don't remember ever seeing that many easy catches go incomplete.
pitt wised up in the 2nd half, turned to the running game, and "took the air outta the ball"...

@Region Philbis,
Speaking of which of footballs - I was watching the Jets-Denver game..and actually found out that there are kicking balls and QB balls with different balls for differing purposes. The kicking ballls are pretty slippery grip.

I had 81 points sitting on my bench, Foxy.
