Thanks, Region, for the gentle correction regarding Jespah's pick on Indy. I had her down for TN. If Indy had won, she would have taken the week. But TN took last night's game and, as a result, the winner in Week #8 is COWDOC! He finishedwith a stellar score of 11-3. His 2nd win in 3 weeks. Jespah and Wandeljw came in at 10-4. Very fine. 9 players did okay at 9-5: McGentrix, Osso, Edgar, Tico, Foxfyre, ElStud, Ragman, EhBeth and Alex. Rockhead and Region finished at 8-6. Breaking even at 7-7: JohnBoy, Imur, Fbaezer and Miz Cowdoc.
George, who refuses to pick NY teams, paid a price: 6-8. And Mysteryman was way off topic. He had a dreadful week at 3-11. Ouch.
Thanks for yall's participation.

(I must ask, how can cattle be obscenely fat?)

Way to go Cowdoc

Second week in a row I came in at above .500. Move over Mysteryman. I'm am sure to be at the bottom this week.

The best ESPN guy is at .666 - good for a tie for 1st with us. The worst is at .586 which would tie him with Osso for 9th.

@realjohnboy,
I'm glad I improved here, for ever how long that lasts. On a2k Fantasy Football, I'm making a strong bid for last... maybe I can work that out.

Well at least my standing is evidence that I don't cheat. Yes?

And thanks Johnboy. Really appreciate it.

Nobody is putting together a fantasy Basketball team?

@realjohnboy,
Johnboy, when you run beef cattle on feed that is too plentiful and rich, they get fat. Sadly, they tend to deposit this fat around the reproductive tract, pulling the uterus waaaay down near the navel, which is a long damned distance to reach when your arm is in rectally. Worse, they also deposit fat in the pelvic cavity, making the room where your arm is inserted awfully tight. Between the two, it makes the work incredibly physically demanding. Worst of all, cows who are not raising a calf, and therefore not producing milk, have decreased energy demands, so they get even fatter. This particular rancher had a disease problem last spring, and lost close to thirty calves before branding. Then, to top it all off, the damned wolves that the feds were kind enough to bring in here killed close to twenty more. All in all, almost fifty dry cows. That's why I damned near died Sunday. Make sense now?

@CowDoc,
Yes, Cowdoc, it does make sense now. Thank you for the explanation. I certainly didn't mean to make light of it. John.

@Foxfyre,
I'm flipping off the hockey, which I've a long time bias against for no good reason, hey, I used to love to ice skate, so it's the real or perceived violence - but then, I like football.

used to follow basketball, just like I used to follow football and sometimes horseracing - my alma mater did very well in the early sixties - when I was there - major John Wooden time..

Would I get involved in basketball fantasy, maybe. It's good for my brain synapse tossing. But I'm not able to host it, re charting everyone's progress.
