Good Sunday morning to yall. We have 19 players in. Still missing Rockhead.

Well, we could be fixin' for a bruisin' this week. The vast majority see many of the games as no-brainers.
Look at this: Buff @ Miami (18-1 for Buff); St Louis @ NE (18-1 NE); KC @ NYJ (18-1 NY); Cleveland @ J'ville (18-1 JAX); Indy @ Tenn (18-1 TN).
A 17-2 game and two 16-3's.
The NYG @ Pittsburgh is the one that splits us (10-9 NY).
That's the rows of games. In the columns of players:
4 players agree with the majority on every single game but wait, there is more. They all agree with each other on every single game. I am talking about McGentrix, Osso, Edgar and FoxFyre. An amusing mix.
Most of the rest of us differ from the majority on 1 or 2 games. The mavericks are George (differing in 7 instances), Mysteryman (6) and Region (5).

The early games are over. Yall are quite quiet today.
The Miami win over Buffalo hurt all of us...except Ragman.
After 9 early games, we have these players with 7 correct picks: Tico, Jespah, Wandeljw, Ragman, Cowdoc and Alex.
At the other end of the spectrum is Mysteryman, who has only 3 correct picks. Not to worry, MM, George has 4.

@realjohnboy,
Yeah well, if I had gone with my gut and picked the Cowboys, I would be at 7 and 2 too, but I didn't. ElStud did and he's not among the leaders.

We all should plan to meet in Vegas some time......but stay away from the sports book huh?

@Foxfyre,
Yikes! A Safety was just scored in Giants and Steelers game..tied at 14. This is one hell of a match.

Thus far, edgar is not amused.

@realjohnboy,
Out comes my red highlighter (bad) and my blue one (good). A lot of red in the late games. Only Cowdoc correctly picked Cleveland vs JAX. And only Jespah, Region and George had Seattle.
All in all, this is looking like a bad week for most of us.
I have Jespah and Cowdoc tied with 10 correct picks. There is no game tonight and no one can catch up based on the Monday night game. By my reckoning, if the total points scored is 40 or less, the week belongs to Jespah. 41 or more gives it to Cowdoc.

Fond of Cowdoc as I am, I unsecretly hope Jespah wins... she's a fellow sport game cellar habitue with dogged enthusiasms.

@ossobuco,
I love Jespah too, but ElStud and I have had the pleasure of enjoying dinner with Cowdoc. Makes it hard to root against him. Smile

I guess I'll just not take sides and hope for a tie.

@Foxfyre,
Don't worry about it, folks. I already won just making it home in one piece. The three hundred cows were mostly obscenely fat, making pregnancy checking one incredible helluva lot of gut-busting work, and the ninety-mile drive back home was less than comfortable. But I survived - at least so far - and if I happen to wake up tomorrow, it definitely counts as a win!

So the 1st half is over and only 13 points scored. Looking good for Jespah.
I have had the pleasure of meeting both Jespah and Cowdoc.

@ossobuco,
He woke up & even went to his county meeting! I was only about half as sore - I was smart enough not to over do & did not have to preg any one.

Guess I should look over his shoulder when I pick. He did good!

@realjohnboy,
jes had picked indy, so... congrats to the bovine medic!
his prediction of tennesee winning 31-17 was eerily close to the actual tally of 31-21...
