@realjohnboy,
Do I get extra credit for picking the Rays in seven?

@CowDoc,
Absolutely.

That being said, I'd like extra credit for picking the Rams AND the Raiders.

@Ticomaya,
I have to give you credit for that, but I'm not sure if it's for insight or insanity.

No extra credit, Tico, but those two picks got you into a good position to win the week.
With the NE-Denver game left, Edgar, Tico, Ragman and Ehbeth are tied at 10-3. Tico picks Denver while the others have NE. Tico wins if Denver wins. A NE win would send us to the total points tiebreaker. If I have calculated this correctly, total points of 25 or less would results in an Ehbeth win. (She has total points of 13 as her guess). Ragman (38) takes it if the total is between 26 and 44. Edgar (51) would be happy if the total is 45 or more.
The rest of us have no chance.

@realjohnboy,
The last time I was in this spot, I ended up in last place for the season-to-date. I am not amused.

Week #8 apologizes to Week #7 for posting a day early. Please refrain from picking Week #8 until Tuesday after Week #7 finishes.
Tomorrow will be our (we hope) final appearance before the Charlottesville city government to get approval to build a six story building across Main Street from my store. Planning commission: check. City Council: check.
Board of Architecture Review: we have been there 3 times and made every change they requested. This time we are going for a vote - up or down.
I think we have everyone on board, but you never know with that bunch. I recently saw a small project get delayed because of an objection to the placement of a bicycle rack.
I don't have to be there despite being the majority investor. I get the luxury of watching it on my computer.
I will still be reporting on Week #7, but then I will be lighting votive candles.
Thank you for understanding that Week #8 didn't mean to step on Week #7's toes.
(No problem, Edgar. I didn't get my 2nd post in quick enough).

I had Denver in this A2K game. I was ticked at their perfromance. But over in the Fantasy Football game, Tico had the Denver QB and the Denver K. I was able to eke out a win in our matchup by 2 points. It was my 4th winning week in a row, longest for the moment of any of us playing there.
For Week #7: Our winner is Edgar! He, Ragman and EhBeth finished at 11-3. Edgar wins by virtue of the total points (48) being closes to his pick (51).
Well done, Edgar.
Osso, Tico and Wandeljw had a good week: 10-4.
A cluster of folks came in at 9-5: RealJohnBoy, McGentrix, Rockhead, Foxfyre, George, Fbaezer, Cowdoc, Alex and Miz Cowdoc.
Jespah and Region finiised in bed together at 8-6, while ElStud, Imur and Mysteryman could only break even at 7-7.
Thanks to all who played. Let me know of any mistakes.

And the standings after Week #7:
1) Ragman @ .657 (was tied for 1st after last week)
2) Cowdoc @ .638 (was tied for 1st after last week)
3) Fbaezer @ .618 (3rd)
3) Wandeljw @.618 (4th)
5) Edgar @ .617 (7th)
6) RealJohnBoy @ .589 (8th)
6) McGentrix @ .589 (8th)
6) ElStud @ .589 (4th)
9) Tico @ .585 (11th)
10) Osso @ .579 (12th)
10) Imur @ .579 (6th)
12) Region @ .569 (10th)
13) Rockhead @ .559 (12th)
14) Jespah @ .549 (12th)
15) Miz Cowdoc @ .547 (16th)
16) EhBeth @ .540 (18th)
17) Mysteryman @ .536 (15th)
18) FoxFyre @ .530 (17th)
19) Alex @ .510 (19th)
20) George @ .500 (20th)
A mumber of folks moved up or down by a couple slots. Imur dropped by 4. George can take solace in the knowledge that, for the first time this season, he is at .500!
The Best ESPN guy is killing us at .677 while the worst guy is at .579 - good for 10th here.

I'll post the schedule for week #8 in a minute. I am sorry about having to do it a day early on Monday.
