@Cycloptichorn,
All the signs point to Biden, if not then Obama is doing one helluva deak.

We know who it is not: Tim Kane, Bayh, course it is possible it's Hillary and Biden is in on the gag. He is the only candidate who seems to be preparing to be on the road for two months.

@Not a Soccer Mom,
I think we should be certain before proclamations; however, either Biden is being a real sport and has his house in a flurry of activity to throw us off...or it's him.

@cicerone imposter,
The daily Star -a daily in lebanon bemoans the politics there with the following words.
My question is is USA better?
Here is the quote

"One of the most unfortunate consequences of Lebanon's sectarian political system has been the relegation of important national issues like the environment to the bottom of the public agenda. In other countries, candidates compete with one another during elections on the basis of their stances on a wide variety of issues, including health care and foreign, economic and environmental policy. Here in Lebanon, politicians are more likely to rely on communal loyalties or sectarian fears to get re-elected to posts they inherited from their fathers and grandfathers.

It's official.

WASHINGTON " Senator Barack Obama has chosen Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware to be his running mate, turning to a leading authority on foreign policy and a longtime Washington hand to fill out the Democratic ticket, Mr. Obama announced in text and e-mail messages early Saturday.

@joefromchicago,
It was sent at 3:00 AM btw. Smile (OK, 3:09)

This is an older/ longer Biden thread -- not that the site can't stand to have two, but might be nice to consolidate:

@sozobe,
Wonderful. We can count on change in washington from Obama and the democrates now. Biden has been in washington 35 years. Im sure he will be more than willing to show Obama how to get rid of the lobbiests. Better government from crooked politicians!

@rabel22,
Biden may not have been the perfect choice.
He may not even have been the preferred choice.
But he was, at least to Obama’s view, the necessary choice.

@Ramafuchs,
I am glad Biden is in. He has been on the spotlight and can effectively counter McCain.

@talk72000,
Excue me please.
my views are nasty or critical but not CONGENIAL.
Your country shoud select a person who can shape/change the banality-
Obama is not mahtmagandhi nor MLK.
He belongs to the system and wish to change a littlebit to warm the old sou AMERICAN arrogance.. It is not my bounden duty to influence the voters .
If i were an approver voter I would vote and make sure that my vote is invalid.
