I"m writing an article for a healing magazine and am using the phrase "eat at me" in relation to problems. I've looked at a Shakespeare website and can't find it. Does anyone know where it comes from?

"Eating away at me" I have heard of, in the sense that a maggot eats away at flesh.

I'll look it up in my Nigel Reese.

No, it's not really a cliche.

I can tell you about "Eat my shorts!"

Thanks McTag. I've turned the article around a bit so I don't need the origin now, seemed less hassle.

Very Happy

I've never heard the expression Tarah.

I have led a sheltered existence.

Who are you healing?

The article was about forgiveness and if it makes any of the readers consider forgiving someone in their past, then I'll have done a little healing.

As for whether or not you've led a sheltered life, I do hope not.
