I was just sad.
Ritter was only 54.
Enjoyed hearing some of Cash's music today. Favorite Cash song, for me:
I Walk The Line.
Any type of retrospective or comment on either or both would be nice here.
My favourite version of a Cash song was Social Distortion's versionof "Ring of Fire."
I'm too tired to be eloquent, but I'm sad about John Ritter's death both because of his youth and because he just seemed (or his characters seemed) like a really nice human being. At least he had a little bit of a come-back before he died...good for him.
Johnny Cash just rocked...he was sooooo cool.
I liked them both and am sad to see them go. I grew up listening to Johnny Cash since country was my dads favorite music. Then after my dad passed away I still listened to those old songs in memory of my dear father, so Johnny's death hits home with me.
I walk the line and ring of fire are 2 of my favorites.
Johnny Cash reminds me of dad, too.
Isn't it odd that the deaths of people we didn't know are sort of benchmarks in our lives?
"I keep a close watch o'er this heart o' mine... I keep my eyes wide open all the time...."
Things are funny that way. George Jones is another one who reminds me of dad, even more so than Johnny Cash. It almost feels like I know them personally.
