Our hous is about 280 yers old now. When we first bought the place, we were mouse free. Problem with that was the black snakes wandered around in their bathrobes.

We have a service come in and set traps around the outsie and in some of the areas of the house. I go around and reset them (I quit using the service when I retired. Mice have been on a slight up-tick, so Mrs F called the service guys back
"I UNNERSTAND YOU PAINT HOUSES"

mouse has skedaddled.

we left a piece of popcorn out next to the fridge.

it sat there, undisturbed, for like a week...
