Would you explain what the following sentence means?

"I'm not that interested in the basketball game aspect of politics."

Thanks in advance.

It means that the speaker is not interested in the aspect of politics that resembles a basketball game. We need a longer passage to know how politics resembles a basketball game.

that's an interesting article, but no, it doesn't explain what he meant. i would guess he means election politics is like a spectator sport in general, and not basketball in particular, which he only gave as an example. Confused
