Ueberroth just finished a televised news conference where he announced he was withdrawing from the recall race. No endorsement of other candidate offered.
Votes going to Schwarzenegger or McClintok?
It's my guess that most of the votes for Ueberroth will go to Ahnold. This makes Bustamante and Ahnold neck and neck.
Where was he at, in the polls, anyway (Ueberroth)?
In a mean-spirited sort of way, I view it as poetic justice for the Baseball Hall of Fame fiasco this summer.
We can't blame Ueberroth for that, can we? He's been away from baseball for a long time...The guy who squelched the "Bull Durham" event is a different Republican.
