Yes, this is your home. Have you also adopted it in the deep recesses of your psyche? I believe it takes much reading, be it contemporary American fiction or non-fiction American history, to truly understand what this country means to those whose families came here way before all the social services, or politically correct interacting. And, for a large percentage of the population, this country is the end of the road, so to speak; there's no returning elsewhere, if this country doesn't work out, or one doesn't accomplish one's goals. That I believe, makes for a less flexible attitude towards untried/untested approaches to problems.
