Actually it was a race in Monterrey, Mexico, and a drunk fell asleep and ran into the leaders. One person was killed. The bicyclists tried to lynch the driver before police arrived to arrest him.

That guy is going to jail for a loooong time.
It's a f*cked up thing when a drunk driver kills someone. I have a cousin who's husband just got sentenced to something like thirty-five years in prison for killing two people during a drunk driving accident that he caused down in Florida.
I get why the penalty is so stiff, as far as the victim's families are concerned, but I also see the other side. It's not like the guy meant to kill somebody. Maybe there should be a special kind of prison or a totally different kind of punishment for drunk drivers that accidentally kill someone while under the influence.
Or maybe not. I don't know. It's a tough call.
