i am trying to write a poem...can you please translate "love lost, insight gained"

i tried to and came up with " perditus amor, acuitas partum"

it seems wrong, if you could please help, thanks in advance.

I'd put the adjective "perditus" after the noun "amor".
Id use "capta" rather than "partum".

So:

Amor perditus, acuitas capta.
