was told this was written by a black guy in Texas.....what a great sense of humor! Sorry - no intend to offend anyone
When I born, I black.
When I grow up, I black.
When I go in sun, I black.
When I cold, I black.
When I scared, I black.
When I sick, I black.
And when I die, I still black.
You white folks......
When you born, you pink,
When you grow up, you white.
When you go in sun, you red.
When you cold, you blue.
When you scared, you yellow.
When you sick, you green.
When you bruised, you purple.
And when you die, you gray.
So who you callin colored?
I've seen this before. It's funny but also makes a good point.
Labels can be applied anywhere, to anyone. They are so arbitrary
that the words we choose have more to do with who we are
than what we are looking at.
Calling someone colored or black says *very little* about them,
but a lot about our own focus, agenda, and expectations.
In a way, everytime we open our mouth
we're actually talking about ourselves, not the other guy.

Good observations!! I was hoping those would come out.
