"Since taking office in 2001, President Bush has issued signing statements on more than 750 new laws, declaring that he has the power to set aside the laws when they conflict with his legal interpretation of the Constitution."

Bush: 750

Pussy Americans: 0

It must suck to be a pussy-American - perhaps you could illuminate what would, to your mind, be the better alternative...

A better alternative to a president who makes up his own law as he muddles along?

Yes, it used to when I was an active activist but now that I have excepted what my fellow Americans allow themselves to be I see it hopeless to fight.

I tip my hat to the NeoCons. They pulled it off. I watched it happen the whole way. The same group of people from the 1980's.

Now I sleep better but I get angry sometimes when I think about our/my defeat and I make a thread like this.

What would be the alternative to your president tearing up 750 laws passed by the people? You.

The alternative would be to stop being a pussy by pretending somehow you are a member the winning team.

Now wave your flag (made in china) like a good little citizen and if you see somthing you dissagree with you better just snuff that feeling out.

The alternative is Law by the people. Democracy

----------------------------------

"I don't give a goddamn," Bush retorted. "I'm the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way."

"Mr. President," one aide in the meeting said. "There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution."

"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face," Bush screamed back. "It's just a goddamned piece of paper!"

You could always move to Canada and then be frustrated by the lack of electoral reform!

What are you arguing in favour of Amigo? Pussy whipping might be a jolly good thing. It's done you proud so far hasn't it? You can **** in anybody's backyard at anytime of the day or night, you can play golf on the moon and you can't eat a quarter of your produce and have to sell it to Washington so they can give it away and preen.

Just look at us Male Chauvinist Pigs. You would be whining if you had to live the way have to. But we are catching up. I found out how many lumps of sugar I take in my tea last week. I'm deeply ashamed. But I can't forget it now. I'm a great believer in the division of labour.

The picture of life presented by the Dick van Dyke show crept up on you. It only looked slightly exaggerated in your eyes. It hit us right between the eyes. Cary Grant was never real. Dick van Dyke looked real. He had to make that movie about crashing on an island to restore his reputation.

It's a fair enough swap.

I'm an existentialist. When I look at the people around me, I know the worst is sure.

You're not an existentialist, Amigo.

You look more like a fatalist, nihilist tendency..

Heads up, Amigo!

We will have to wait and see.

In the meantime I have a demonstration to go to in a couple hours.

The neocons won, since they understand how the world works. The reformers want some sort of socialistic utopia, in my opinion, which means we become a cradle to grave society, where no one should want more than they need. And, that need is determined for them. No big portions for anyone.

Don't blame the neocons. The heartland voted for them. Not everyone is alienated from the capitalist system and a strong America. The captialist system was in America back with the Dutch East India Company in New Amsterdam (Manhattan); that's how the world works. The fact that the Incas had no money, as an example, is not the way the world works.

That's a lot of platitudes for my brain to grasp all at once there, tiger. Help me to understand - why is the onus on me rather than both of us? Will you not be taking part in the governmental process here in the good old US of A for some... reason?

I agree with him. The pussification of America is in full swing.

People need to wake up, buck up, arm themselves, and get prepared.
