I'm not ignoring this, I'm looking for ways to render "dandy", "fine"
and "liquor" in the right context.

So here's what I have:

dulcia incunda sunt
et vinum placitum est
sed potus potens celerior est


but all of the sparkle of the original is completely lost in translation.
