I'm an long time ex catholic and generally don't go around mocking belief or individual believers in the catholic religion or any other, but I feel free to mock or decry what I see as the results of the practices of different groups, if they form a pattern. The problem Chai is that what you say does not allow for people who have a perverted interest in children worming their way into organisations to get near them, and for no other reason, even taxi drivers are vetted here, and if recruitment techniques and discipline are a bit lax, as it seems they have been in the case you have buttonholed and are dwelling upon at such length, it is those faults which need to be addressed and not the whole institution whether it be the priesthood or taxi drivers.
