You mean how many of the people who were your "friendly acquaintances" eventually tired of your endless bashing of Obama supporters like them? Puhleaze.. nuff with the pity trip already. You gave at least as good as you got.

yah. but i'm not sure lifealert counts in this case.

Love the name. I'm guessing you're not the species I'm about to post about at all, but anyway...

Alright, time for a vocabulary word. Somatic... 'Somatic', ladies and gentlemen. Body oriented or of the body, from 'soma' meaning main body, common usage may be as opposed to cerebral. Now to use it in a sentence...

Your garden variety liberal values the somatic when per chance it suits him/her and seldom otherwise. Like gun rights don't matter because guns kill people and the G can take care of our physical wellbeing. Also, all sapient lives are intrinsically precious and of in-commutable value without regard to practical concerns or higher realities thereof. Very cerebral and modern - quite fashionable.

But when we have chance to elect a dude in his 70's, the body and any potential faults it might have were it not a top-notch combat chassis of little more vintage than our current legacy fighter planes is supposed to mean something. Fine! I like my soma quite as well as whatever one sits in the oval office, so if you want a young president, I want to keep more than 68% of my paycheck and be able to defend myself lest I become decrepit and unfit for public service myself.

All this fighter pilot stuff is overplayed, maybe McCain's been campaigning too long and his brain has turned to mush; but he is not such a sharp shooter as he has been played up to be. Just listen or read some of his remarks lately. He spends more time excusing his gaffes than he does making coherent statements.

hmm.. i'm mostly a centrist kinda guy. so i find myself often leaning either left or right depending on the issue. however, the bush/cheney nonsense has soured me so badly on the republican party that i find it difficult to see myself voting for that party in any capacity anytime in the next century. ahnoldt, to me, is close to the right kind of republican. but of course, most republicans cannot tolerate him.

i kinda like that.

age in itself is not a singular qualifier or disqualifier. faculties, on the otherhand...

mccain may have been fine by me years ago. but, i believe that the dude is past his "best if used by" date.

the benefit of a younger president, provided their faculties are in tact are many fold. being in touch with what is, not what was is a very basic example.

on the other hand, bush is a prime example that younger is not always better.

unfortunately for you, we do not get to decide on our tax form what we are or are not willing to pay taxes towards. if we were, i would be much weathier from the savings over the last 7+ years.

It was funnier with Bush because, lets face it...it could really have happened.

Aside from the views of religion, nationality, colour an other multiverious views
I follow every thread and dare to air my views only in a few.
The time in Köln is 1957 and a drizzling weather( not congenial to go out)
I am a lazy dog.
Someone has this view.

"Der Gipfe der Faulheit ist
when ein Mann mit
einem Cocktailschüttelbecher
in the hand auf ein Erdbeben wartet."
