Sofia, I accept inordinately fabulous, with a touch of the screwed up to keep things interesting. I would also say that life is what happens when you learn to walk between the raindrops.

Famous Blue Raincoat
(Leonard Cohen)

It's four in the morning, the end of December
I'm writing you now just to see if you're better
New York is cold but I like where I'm living
There's music on Clinton Street all through the evening.
I hear that you're building your little house deep in the desert
you're living for nothing now
I hope you're keeping some kind of a record

Yes and Jane came by with a lock of your hair
she said that you gave it to her
that night that you planned to go clear
did you ever go clear?

the last time I saw you, you looked so much older
your famous blue raincoat was torn at the shoulder
you'd been to the station to meet every train
you came home alone without Lili Marlene.
and you treated my woman to flake of your life
and when she came back she was nobody's wife

well, I see you there with a rose in your teeth
one more thin gypsy thief
well, I see Jane's awake
she sends her regards.

and what can I tell you my brother, my killer
what can I possibly say
I guess that I miss you, I guess I forgive you
I'm glad you stood in my way.
if you ever come by here for Jane or for me
well, your enemy is sleeping and your woman is free

yes, and thanks for the trouble you took from her eyes
I thought it was there for good so I never tried.

and Jane came by with a lock of you hair
she said that you gave it to her
that night that you planned to go clear

heh heh Adele! Smile Welcome

Sophia...I did a real life experiment similar to your avatar experiment when I was waiting tables in college: Being naturally less endowed, and not one to enjoy wearing bras, I began to think about the growing trend of breast implants (this was several years ago, obviously). So, I started wearing padded bras to work (ones that added at least two inches to the bustline), and I swear to god my tips went up by at least 15-20%. I'm talking tips from women as well as from men...sick sick sick!!!!

But, at least I've figured out how to get ahead in line at the mechanic's. Wink

best to be screwed up than screwed down me thinks....

gravity-wise and all...
you got a better chance of unscrewing from the ceiling than tryin to unscrew from the floor.

Doesn't it make you sick!!! I went blonde for a few years and the change was dramatic. I already had a tight bod and enough attention from men, but I got tired of auburn, and went blonde with no expectations... It was like I had been endowed with some cosmic power. Men--everywhere, all the time. A potent potion.

Someone should conduct a study. Boobs and blonde study. But, I don't understand the women's tips going up... LOVE your study. Good for you!

I went to Mexico back in the sixties and seventies many times, with girlfriends, my lovers, and later my husband. I must say I looked pretty, if not beautiful (cough) all those times, in retrospect though I didn't think so then...I just thought I looked ok. Whenever one of the girlfriends was blonde, yikes. Triple the attention, at least.

i just realized last night that i really hate my blonde hair. i went red for a few years - and now it 'seems' more natural to me than blonde.

I have a feeling that ehBeth's gonna be a redhead when I meet her.

(See that "when"? That's my subtle psychological way of ensuring she shows up for the Madison gathering.)

(That would be SO cool!! Very Happy)
