I like George's translation: I can see it in ink, as it offers the opportunity for symmetry, and it has clarity.

If your husband really takes his fatherhood seriously, and he wants to ring in the fact that you have two children, you could do:

PATRIARCHAE AMOR

which would mean a father's or a chief of a tribe's love.

This would make symmetry difficult, and its length sounds potentially painful. I'd go with George's. I also would second George's suggestion that you check with a Latin scholar, because erasures are so expensive in tattoos.
