1. A big welcome for/to your presence to grace today's ceremony.
2. A big welcome to you for being present to grace today's ceremony.
Which sentence is correct? I believe sentence 2 is. If neither is, how would you rephrase it?
Thanks in advance.
A welcome is given unconditionally or not at all.
I would rephrase (2) thus
We welcome you and thank you for gracing today's ceremony with your presence.
