What does, "hot" mean to a five year old? Does anyone know?
The other day, my five year old was talking about the Jonas Brothers - we had won tickets to Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers opened for them. When my five year old saw Joe jump onto the piano and dance on it, it was love at first sight. So the other day, when she mentioned she would be in a band with her sister, I asked if she was going to be like Joe. Her response was - Joe's cute. Then a pause and then she said, "He's hot!"
Of course I started laughing and then she kept repeating, he's hot, he's hot - to get me laughing. Does a five year old really know what "hot" is?
Nah. To her it probably means that he's cute.

You know, I asked her what does "hot" mean...and that is what she said he's cute.
I think she just thought it was cool that he could jump on the piano and dance on the piano - like he got away with climbing on the table and dancing without getting into trouble.

Linkat, my daughter has the walls of her room plastered with
posters of the Jonas Brothers. They're more than "hot" to her....
I had to laugh - my room was covered with Jim Morrison posters.

Oooh I had Jim Morrison too! And gulp (the Bee Gees at one point and Andy Gibb).
I think it just means "cool." Yes, that's what I said. Hot is the new cool.
And I think you can thank that whore Paris Hilton for that. But really, that's what it means sometimes.
