Early March US Labor Department published official data on employment in this country. It has turned out that reducing the number of jobs in the USA continues two months in a row. In February of 2008, for instance, the number of jobs only in manufacturing and service industries declined by 63 thousand. As to local construction sector and commercial fixed property area, drop in employment there continues 8 (!) months in a row! This is the greatest decline in jobs since March 2008.
American experts tell us that US economic recession has already begun and recent crisis at US housing and credit markets also have delaying effect to this economy in general. And for me it is clear that all that, in fact, leads to the next increase in unemployment in this country.
It is a settler for such immigrants as me and my close friends from Mexico here. We are sure that we, as well as, other low-income Americans will be the first ones who will be retired from employment here. Of course, US powers plan to do it privily, but it testifies that our positions in this society will never change for the better!
